As SCADA Technical Lead at EDF, I was responsible for driving the reliability, interoperability, and modernization of supervisory control systems across a multi-technology renewable energy portfolio. I led technical coordination between EDF engineering teams and major turbine OEMs including Vestas, Nordex, Siemens Gamesa, Goldwind, and Enercon, ensuring seamless integration of data flows, control strategies, and grid-compliance requirements.

I worked extensively with IEC 61850 architectures, substation communication models, and logical node configurations to standardize signals, improve interoperability, and enhance the robustness of the control-command chain. My role included validating communication mappings, ensuring consistency between MMS/GOOSE exchanges, and supporting protections, gateways, and SCADA interfaces.

I also contributed to the migration from the existing PI (OSIsoft/AVEVA) historian to the Genesys platform, overseeing data model alignment, tag structure standardization, quality checks, and integration with operational dashboards and reporting tools. This migration improved system performance, data reliability, and the scalability of EDF’s digital monitoring infrastructure.

On a daily basis, I managed troubleshooting and root-cause analyses for SCADA issues, coordinated upgrades and configuration changes, validated communication protocols (OPC UA, Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850), and ensured continuous operation of EDF’s renewable assets while maintaining high cybersecurity and operational standards.

During my time at Vestas, I conducted the study, configuration, and operational management of more than 30 wind farms during their construction phase, including large-scale projects of several tens of megawatts such as Fruges, Maison Dieu, Haut Plateau, and others. I worked closely with major renewable energy producers including EDF, TotalEnergies, Elicio, VSB, ESCOFI, and JPEE, ensuring seamless integration between site operations, SCADA systems, and grid requirements.

I developed advanced expertise in Power Plant Control (PPC), environmental and operational control systems (PCID, BAT protection, curtailment strategies, noise constraints, and grid-compliance automation), as well as Windows server administration and virtual machine management. I am proficient with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA, and DNP3, and have strong experience with SQL databases used for monitoring, diagnostics, and performance analytics.

In the service phase, I managed troubleshooting and resolution of SCADA-related issues, ensuring operational continuity, compliance with grid constraints, and maximization of energy production. Integration of a satellite positioning system (GNSS) on a new charging machine. Conducted the study and selection of the appropriate GNSS technology to achieve 1-cm positioning accuracy. Developed an NMEA frame-processing program under CODESYS for the WAGO 750-881 PLC. Designed and implemented a communication gateway between the WAGO 750-881 and Schneider Electric M340 PLCs to ensure reliable data exchange and synchronized control between the two systems.
