Fernanda Barrientos

Linguist by profession, I discovered my passion for data as I completed my PhD. I relocated to Switzerland after years of experience working at universities, doing experimental research and crunching data with R, Python, and SQL. Since data from linguistic experiments can be very messy, I gained significant experience in cleaning data, applying different types of statistical models, and visualizing findings in a clear way. I am comfortable with heavy csv files, Parquet, SQL, and R's package Caret for machine learning, as well as Python's Scikit-learn. I enjoy looking for trends in data and and learning new computational tools to get the best results.
