Mauko en quelques mots

Hello !

Software Craftsman

Paris, France

février 2016 - Aujourd'hui (6 ans et 7 mois)

Incubateur des Services Numériques is a community of action, whose members build digital public services. I'm one of them.

I participate in all stages of development of "Boussole des droits", a digital public service ("startup d'État") sponsored by French's "direction de la jeunesse, de l’éducation populaire et de la vie associative" (DJEPVA): problem discovery, user testing, sketching, prototyping, customer-job stories definition, coding, user testing, open labs, repeat.

The mission statement of the product is to help young people find guidance in their path to autonomy, and to help professionals cross the chasm created by the digital revolution.

I also facilitate internal self-management initiatives like the "standup meeting", a portfolio review held weekly, the "séminaire", an editorialised lean coffee held fortnightly, the "atelier produit", where incubateur members gather to make evolve beta.gouv.fr (cf. infra), the "grand séminaire", an off-site open space where every member of the incubator participates in strategic decision making.

I also participate in the development of internal tools to support self-management, notably beta.gouv.fr, incubator's official site (edited collaboratively), and betaGouvBot, tasked to deal with some time-consuming administrative chores.

Finally, I've spoken at conferences to present different subjects, like guerrilla-mode user-testing, lean (startup) approach to public service design and development, and what I've learnt of the incubator's values and practices.

Philippe Honigman -

Mauko shines at enabling dev teams to solve complex problems, through the introduction of tools, methods and processes tailored to that end. He's pragmatic, result-oriented, committed to develop a participatory culture within the team, rather than teaching the "one best way". Mauko takes willingly his share of the technical tasks ; he's eager as well to understand and support the company's endeavours at the highest level. I totally recommend Mauko in any senior position within a software development organization.
