I’m an HCL consultant currently leading the migration of three highly complex systems—Extractor, Indexer, and Vpoller—from C++ to Java at Erste Group. These systems handle bytes, memory management, file creation/reading, buffer operations, and database transactions (insert, delete, update, select). They are executed via shell scripts scheduled with Linux cron jobs.

The migration also involves moving from Linux-based hosting to Google Cloud Platform, with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases for data management. I implement file compression using zlib and manage integration with the Alfa system.

Extractor: extracts container files and converts them into LIT files.

Indexer: transforms LIT files into DAT files, archived by the Amw system.

Vpoller: processes journals.log from Extractor and Indexer into journal LIT files for further processing.
